The way to know the divine purpose about this present evil world, is not to be mixed up with it, in its schemes and speculations, but to be entirely separated from it. – C. H. Macintosh

It took a supernatural Priest, a supernatural Sacrifice, and a supernatural Man to rectify Adam’s sin. – Michael Haigh

Morality, like a castle in the air, is constructed without the foundation of the fear of God. – Adolph Saphir

None can teach like God, and all who will learn of Him must be alone with Him. – C. H. Macintosh

No man can walk before God and be perfect unless the Spirit of God is within him! God does not ask of man what man cannot give! – Michael Haigh

I recently came across a headline that stated that abortion was really an issue about women’s health. If this is so then abortion is certainly not very healthy for female babies! – Mary Haigh

One reason sin flourishes is that it is treated like a cream puff instead of a rattlesnake. – Billy Sunday

Re: The Bible authored by the Holy Spirit of God. – The true history of mankind, that is what man IS, can only be told by God! For mankind is a perpetual liar, he lies about himself, he lies about his history, he lies about his actions, he lies about his sin, and most of all he lies about the Almighty God. – Michael Haigh

The proverb ‘It takes a village to raise a child,’ is quite true, but what kind of village? A village without the foundation of God and His truth will raise up children without truth, without goodness, without kindness, without responsibility and without respect for others. A village without God cannot produce morally and socially productive adults. And it is exactly this village without God that wants to raise your child. What kind of village are you allowing to raise up and influence your child? – Mary Haigh

Do not measure sin by what other people say of it; but measure sin by what God says it is. – Spurgeon

We are very selective people in that we select news that satisfies our wishes (for fake news then becomes selective news), we select what we desire to believe, we select our truths, we select what laws we will obey, we select who should live or die, and we even select what thoughts others should be required or made to think. – Mary Haigh

God is also very selective for He said, I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose [that] in which I delighted not. (Isaiah 66:4) I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Sovereignty vs free will: For the unregenerate man ‘free will’ only means the will to sin. For the born again believer ‘free will’ means that we have been set free from the ‘free will’ to sin, and have been made sons of God. It is no longer ‘my will,’ but Thy will be done. – Michael Haigh

We have the wonder of our present day (the dispensation of grace), and here in this dispensation God has revealed to us things that no other group or time period has seen and heard concerning the glories of Christ. The Spirit is free to move within us, for there is no law hanging over us, there is no sin to crush us under the eternal judgment of God. – Michael Haigh

The Teaching Moment

The gospel of Satan: ‘Yea, hath God said,’ . . . . ‘Ye shall not surely die.’ . . . . ‘ye shall be as gods knowing good and evil.’ (Genesis 3:1-5) First, question the authority of the Word of God, then repudiate the words of God, and finally redefine the words of God. Desiring to become deity they became sin. Adam and Eve already knew good, but they had never before had the knowledge of evil, nor experienced evil. They made a choice to accept and believe a fallacy: the gospel according to Satan.
Now in the dispensation of grace the children of God, who are born of the Spirit of Christ, have the power that Adam and Eve could not acquire: for we can discern between good and evil.
